Revision of Brokerage rates
Ref: ur earlier Circular No. CTN/SS/Broker/200/1463

Since the season 99-2000 Federation had in practice to pay brokerage against sales of F.P. Bales to our Registred cotton brokers on the basis of per bale rate on the actual bales are delivered in accordance with the circular under reference.
We have
now decided in Sales Promotion Committee dated 28-1-2002 to revise the rates of
brokerage i.e., @1/2 per cent (0.50%) calculated only on actual bales value (excluding
S.T) and Cash Discount amount) as indicated in the sales invoice to be applicable
to all varieties of cotton and categorise/ grades, this will take effect to the
offers accepted from 30-1-2002 onwards. The same terms will be follows for giving
No broker discount.
Example:
If
the rate is Rs.15,000/- p.c +Rs.400/- p.c. premium.
total rate Rs.15,400/-
p.c. Rs.4330.48 per qtl.
Net weight of 100 bales - 165.50 qtl.
Total Value
of 100 bales Rs.7,16,694.44ps
Then Brokerage will be Rs.3583.47ps
In
view of brokerage if party opts for discount then the above calculated amount
shall be treated as discount against not opting broker.
Please note that offers accepted upto 29-01-2002 the brokerage applicable as per rates in the circular indicated under reference.
All registred brokers and buyers are requested to note the above changes to be effected from 30-1-2002 till further orders.
